SENIOR INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT – DATA CENTER SOLUTIONS [Job Code 2406113N]

A strong background in designing and implementing advanced liquid cooling and integrated solutions for data centers. This position will be an Individual Contributor role and key member of the Data Solutions technical architecture team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data center infrastructure solutions that incorporate various advanced liquid cooling, power distribution, mechanical, and monitoring/control technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to sales teams and customers during the pre-sales process.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify potential solutions and opportunities.
  • Develop detailed technical specifications, design documents, and presentations to support solution sales.
  • Work with vendor partners to ensure seamless integration of liquid cooling solutions with data center infrastructure.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to liquid cooling, unified control, mechanical packaging, and integrated solutions for data centers.
  • Leading the end-to-end concept, design, and implementation of integrated solutions for customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10+ years of experience in data center design and implementation, with a focus on advanced liquid cooling and integrated solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of data center cooling systems, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems, energy efficiency practices, power distribution, and remote monitoring and control.
  • Experience with a variety of liquid and air-cooling products and knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of chemistry of different heat transfer liquids and the affects those liquids have on wetted materials.
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure components, such as servers, storage, network switches, chips, and power distribution units.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability and desire for managing large, complex projects that will involve coordinating resources internally and externally.
  • A natural penchant for leading design teams and concepts to develop and deliver the best solutions.
  • A love of learning and not having reservations about taking on projects outside of core knowledge and/or skill area.
  • Ability to take initiative and act independently in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision.
  • Goal-oriented, self-starter, results-driven personality who can identify opportunities and act on them.
  • Demonstrated skills to develop and deliver effective presentations and proposals.

  • Role will require meeting with customers, attending industry conferences, communicating externally and internally, and will include meetings across global sites and customers outside of normal business hours.
  • Role will be approximately 30% travel.
