Responsibilities:
- Oversee the facilities of data centre buildings.
A. Data Centre Facilities Maintenance
- To execute scheduled and unscheduled up-keep and maintenance, based on manufacturer standard and maintain best practices for process and quality on CPI and NCPI to mitigate system failure at any point of time.
- To comply with this “Incident Management Process Flow”:
- Pre-incident management
- Assist HT chargeman to develop contingency and incident management plans before implementing any action plans, including risk assessment.
- Kick off and implement the incident management plans after obtaining approval from a HT chargeman or CSF authorized personnel.
- Post-incident / Maintenance
- Assist HT charge man to conduct root cause analysis – cause of repetitive system faults or failures.
- Suggest corrective measures and coordinate with the relevant departments if necessary to rectify related issues to prevent recurrence.
- Compliance to relevant local legislations
- Execute and ensure that the CPI systems are in compliance with building and safety laws and regulations.
- Execute and ensure that all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with building and safety laws and regulations.
- Provide advice to the Emergency Response Team as and when required.
- Ensure the civil and structural facilities to the CPI system are in clean, safe and optimum operating condition.
- Ensure all the LV chargeman competency certifications are registered with Energy Commission on timely basis.
- Training, staff development and self-internal audit
- Attend and pass practical tests related to meeting operation needs that is set by HT chargeman and CSF’s management.
- Pre-incident management
B. Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Contract Administration
- To understand all applicable contractual SLA commitments for each tenant.
- To ensure that the CPI system and other relevant SLA parameters are fully complied with.
- Recommend remedial action in a timely manner if SLA compliance is threatened or compromised.
- To build and maintain cordial working relationship with all tenants/clients.
C. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Process Flow, Filing and Documentation
- Execute SOP and process flow in order to meet safety requirement, local requirement and improve operation efficiency. Review and improve all SOPs on quarterly basis. Example: SOP for power shut down and normalize procedures for all mechanical and electrical facilities in line with Electricity Supply Act 1990.
- Update building survey on quarterly basis to ensure that all drawings related to the CPI and NCPI systems are up-to-date and tally with the actual site installations.
- Ensure that relevant reports are submitted regularly and on time to the relevant authorities and/or higher management;
- Ensure that departmental documents are filed and kept up to date.
- Back up as LV Chargeman if required for premises.
D. Utilities and Energy Efficiency Management
- Monitor on daily basis usage of utilities and plant maximum demand and highlight to higher management of any unusual situations that are submitted by facilities team members.
E. Technical Consultation and Support for Data Centre Tenant Fit Out and Building Infrastructure
- Facilitate information that is needed for CPI and NCPI systems technical advice to other departments as and when required.
- Facilitate information that needed for CPI and NCPI systems technical and operational solution and support to the Account Delivery Managers of Group of companies in fulfilling the SLA;
- Facilitate information that is needed as input, including budgetary costing information, to the sales team as and when required.
F. Other Duties
- Coordinate and monitor mechanical and electrical sub-contract workers as and when required within the CPI and NCPI system.
- Facilitate new tenants in understanding the CPI system, rules, regulations and procedures of the CPI and NCPI system related to tenancy.
- Ensure that tenants are kept informed – where relevant – on incidents, updates and changes in CPI and NCPI systems and facilities.
- Respond to enquiries and complaints from tenants in a timely manner.
- Any other duties which may be assigned by the Company from time to time.
