ASSISTANT MANAGER -HUMAN RESOURCES (JB/KL) [Job Code 2604106A]

Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
    • Manage end-to-end recruitment process (sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management).
    • Liaise with hiring managers on manpower planning and hiring requirements.
    • Manage onboarding and orientation programmes.
  2. Payroll & Compensation
    • Oversee monthly payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
    • Ensure statutory compliance including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB/MTD, HRD Corp, etc.
    • Manage employee benefits, allowances, claims, and insurance matters.
    • Handle final salary computation including resignation, termination, and payment in lieu.
  3. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
    • Address employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
    • Conduct domestic inquiries where required.
    • Ensure compliance with Employment Act and relevant labour regulations.
  4. Performance Management
    • Coordinate performance appraisal cycles.
    • Support managers in performance evaluation and confirmation processes.
    • Monitor probation reviews and confirmation status.
    • Manage employee records and ensure PDPA compliance.
    • Prepare HR reports, manpower statistics, and management reports.
  5. Compliance & Governance
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
    • Liaise with government bodies (e.g., JTK, KWSP, PERKESO, HRD Corp).
    • Support licence renewals and regulatory submissions where required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience with exposure to full spectrum HR functions.
  • Strong knowledge of Employment Act and statutory regulations.
  • Experience handling payroll and HR systems.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Exposure to CIDB, HRD Corp, foreign worker management (an added advantage).
