SITE/CONSTRUCTION MANAGER [Job Code 2510111A]
Responsibilities:
- Planning and Scheduling
- Plan and schedule the works on site with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that works are efficiently and effectively executed.
- Prepare the necessary site schedules and programmes with various stakeholders and advise project scheduler of changes, implications and improvements.
- Plan site utilization and utilities as required.
- Site Supervision and Coordination
- Conduct and minute daily coordination meeting with site personnel, subcontractors and suppliers to plan daily and forward-looking activities.
- Manage and oversee daily operations on site.
- Coordinate with the necessary stakeholders.
- Safety Compliances
- Review, comment and approve on Method of Statements/Procedures (MOPs, MOSs), Health Risk Assessments (HRAs) and Safe Work Procedures (SWPs).
- Ensure Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards and requirements are complied with on site.
- Serve as Lifting Engineer for site to ensure safe and proper lifting by subcontractors.
- Quality Controls
- Ensure compliance to quality standards alongside project Quality Control (QA/QC) personnel.
- Oversee expeditious clearance of non-compliances raised by Authorities, Client, Qualified Persons or their representatives.
- Resource Management
- Monitor and manage site resources including Direct Manpower, materials and equipment.
- Appropriate resources according to site needs while minimizing wastage.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain proper site documentation with Site Supervisor including but not limited to daily reports, site instructions, variation orders, etc.
- Provide Quantity Surveyor with the necessary documentation for claims or where items have time and cost implication.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma with at least 7 years of experience in project / engineering / construction management, preferably in data centre or critical environment.
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Certification in workplace safety (eg. WSQ, WSH) preferred.
- Positive proactive attitude and ethical behaviour.
- Good leadership and team player with ability to work independently and resolve challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaborative and people management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
